I’ve been on a bit of a hiatus from publishing this newsletter, but thanks to the encouragement of my sweetest subscribers and newest additions (hi! thank you!) I’m giving it another go.
For the past few months, my new job and full itinerary of wedding travel has taken up all my online shopping energy, but once again I find myself excited about new trends and shopping finds to the point where I can’t help but share them with you. If you’re as desperate for a cure from this March Malaise as I am, then I hope you’ll find these picks for a spring wardrobe refresh are just what the doctor ordered.
Also, if you were already subscribed, you may have noticed today’s newsletter looks a little different from the past. I decided to try publishing on Substack, which is a lot uglier but has helpful features for sharing with your friends (yay!) and an entire archive of my past editions (kind of cringe!). Let me know what you think, if you hate it, if you care, etc.
Housekeeping aside, here’s what should absolutely be on your shopping list this season, should you be itching for something new.
☞ cargo pants
A must, if not already in your wardrobe. I recently rounded out my go-to pair of black cargo trousers (try these from H&M) with this satin-y Reformation pair that I’ve already found can shift perfectly with the seasons.

☞ jersey knits
Twisted, knotted, draped, or ruched, jersey knits feel like the quiet luxury approach to Y2K trends, and very that Tory Burch collection. Pair them together, like this Lioness top and Viveh skirt, or scoop up a set like this.

☞ ballet flats
Once you’ve invested in a classic pair of black flats (and I’m obviously biased towards Mansur Gavriel) and start wearing them constantly, you’ll be tempted to add an even more feminine, ballet-inspired option to the mix, like these from Loeffler Randall or this more literal interpretation.

☞ bomber jackets
The key to this season’s bomber jacket is a proper collar and cinched waist, as seen on every member of Gen Z in New York. While I highly suggest hunting for a vintage leather version (RIP the Poshmark find that got stolen from my building), Madewell makes it easy. For a cotton version, I like this House of CB version or a classic Ralph Lauren.

☞ denim maxi skirt
As seen all over the fashion month set, though I’m particular to denim skirts with a noticeable maxi length and slit. This sophisticated version from COS and this more everyday option from Mango are selling quickly.

☞ loafers & sneakers
I find myself gravitating towards less chunky footwear as of late, which could be explained by this balanced Reformation loafer and the new It-sneaker, adidas Gazelles, being everywhere right now.

☞ cropped button ups
Play into the classics with a cropped button up cut that is arguably more wearable than the oversized options that have been in everyone’s rotation post-Covid, whether from Aritzia or The Frankie Shop.

☞ metallic jeans
I am desperately refreshing these AGOLDE and Rag & Bone jeans in hopes that they’ll be back in stock before the Eras tour, but with more and more brands introducing their own version, I’m more and more convinced metallic jeans are here to stay.

☞ red sweaters
Red is apparently the new Barbie pink, a concept I was immediately sold on upon seeing it styled by Tory Burch (she is the moment!). Get the look from H&M or Whistles.

☞ pinstripes
A subtle way to introduce pattern into your wardrobe this season, as florals for spring are decidedly not it right now. Invest in everyday pants from Favorite Daughter or try this Ganni skirt for a night out.

☞ oversized bags
Everywhere, all at once, and oh so convenient. I’m torn between a woven version from Dragon Diffusion and our very own oversized options from Mansur Gavriel.

☞ suit skirts
A trend that makes feeling cool and polished at the office is always a trend I can get behind. Shop it at Anthropologie or Modern Citizen.

Let me know what else you’re eyeing and buying this spring — or need help looking for. As always, thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading. It means the world!
