Shopping for wedding guest dresses is my favorite sport. Give me a date, location, and dress code, and I have an assignment to entertain myself with for hours, plus a dinner table conversation to complain about endlessly. Erroneously, my favorite part of the game is using every invitation as an excuse to splurge. There are certainly more affordable approaches (and I’m always happy to help you find a specific look at any price point — just hit reply with your request!), but the easiest way to walk into a wedding with confidence is, of course, to be the best dressed guest. The trick is to pick your top contenders as early as the invites are sent, then keep an eye on your favorites until they inevitably go on sale.
