I don't have much to say this week besides that I am very excited for fall fashion. It feels like there's something for everyone this season, which always has a way of elevating the existing trends into their most refined version. I obviously have not been particularly thrilled with the resurgence of Y2K's tackiest trends, but I am always ready to dress rich. This fall, we can embrace a bit of both.
The Ballet Flat Trend
Make sure you've done your required reading, then step into fall's favorite footwear trend, which happens to be mine, too.Â
SWEATERÂ Similar at GAP, $80Â JEANSÂ Nudie, $185Â BAGÂ Sinbono, $99Â FLATSÂ Mansur Gavriel, $395Â EARRINGSÂ SHASHI, $64
The New Cargo Trend
Why stop at cargo pants when you can get two trends for one with a cargo mini skirt? Metallics, too, are having a moment.
TOP Ganni, $67 and $77 SKIRT H&M, $25, Similar here and here BAG By Far, $399 BOOTS Sam Edelman, $250 NECKLACE Mejuri, $178
The Biker Trend
Considering I may never tire of wearing my Melina Pants, I'm convinced I'd get more wear than you'd expect from a leather or latex top this season.
TOP Miaou, $295, Similar here PANTS Something Navy, $225, Similar here and here BAG Diesel, Similar here BOOTS Steve Madden, $160 NECKLACE Mejuri, $168
The Normcore Trend — Again
If you've been stuck in a rotation of trousers and tank tops all summer (guilty), you'll find a new rotation of timeless basics will serve you well this fall.
SWEATERÂ Amazon, $32Â SKIRTÂ Zara, $50Â BAGÂ The Drop, $40Â SHOESÂ By Far, $130Â NECKLACEÂ Vitaly, $60
The Preppy Trend.
Even I'm surprised at how preppy this outfit is, but every piece is just so perfect and therefore I thought I'd pair them together.
DRESS Farm Rio, $255 JACKET Anine Bing, $399, Similar here and here BAG H&M, $28 BOOTS Everlane, $250 SUNGLASSES Vehla, $180, Similar here
On My Mind.
I may finally have a good reason to get back on Instagram.
In My Cart.
Is it too early to be shopping for a wedding guest dress for... January?
