I am so sorry for not sending a newsletter until now — I had planned to send this month’s editions all about work wardrobe basics, but that just seemed so boring in the midst of fashion month (also, the Wi-Fi on my Delta flight this morning didn't help). Instead, I have a new fall shopping list, and thanks to several street style sightings and mostly the girl that walked past me in the West Village in perfectly pink trousers, a Barbiecore buy is officially on it. Valentino has obviously been brewing the trend on the runway, the red carpet, and everywhere in between, but now that it’s been translated to the everyday dresser, I’m on board myself. Personally, I think the trend looks most modern with minimalistic styling and masculine touches, avoiding anything too girly or referential to Barbie’s iconic '80s (and even '60s) eras. A piece or two is all you need to try out the trend, so you could consider it your splurge of the season, though there’s plenty of affordable options, too.

On My Mind.
Amy Odell’s Back Row newsletter and Fashionista’s comprehensive coverage of fashion week. I could also talk about the TikTok PR email “doxxing” and “drama” for hours.
In My Cart.
An affordable maxi skirt to try out another must-have fall trend — and maybe an affordable mini skirt, while I’m at it.
Also, and I'll get into this in another newsletter, but once again everywhere is on sale right now. Intermix has 40% off, Mango is 30% off, Abercrombie and Frame are 25% off, and even Net-A-Porter is offering 15% off on their app.
